....
With the aim to assist God’s people as I Peter 3:15 declares “always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” NIV; The Chestertown, Md. site of the National School Of Theology is offering courses designed to prepare Christians toward that end.
Our society, communities, and nation are changing rapidly before our very eyes. Advances in communication, medical, technology, as well as racial diversity; are opening new channels and dialogs that were previously unimaginable.
There is a definite shift in the thinking of people that has led to new ways of operating and solving the variety of issues that face us today. People are slowly becoming more tolerable of others and view points besides those of their own familiar circle of acquaintances and knowledge.
On Tuesday January 20th 2009; we the people elected for the first time in our nation’s history some one of African American color to be the president of this great country. President Barack Obama wants to consider all options and be inclusive of everyone regardless of race, religion, culture, or creed in the pursuit of a free nation. To bring all parties to the table can be a two edged sword that brings both a blessing and a curse. As President Obama asked for support and service from everyone; let us pray for America and our new leaders.
America’s belief and moral position has changed. In the pursuit of freedom, liberty, and justice for all; it must never be forgotten what made American great. Our great nation was founded upon the sure and concrete truths of the bible and a strong faith in the one Triune God.
Somewhere along the course of the history of America we have made materialism, prestige, and pleasure our god. The nation that previously feared and honored God both publicly and privately now is systematically choosing to remove any thought of God from their conscience. There is less reverence for who God is and we as a nation have forgotten God’s great benefits.
Psalm 9:17 declares “The wicked shall be turned into Hell and all nations that forget God”. Today, it’s almost a crime to mention Jesus Christ in public. People are casting off restraints and giving themselves over to the sinful desires of their hearts – Rom.1:18-32.
If there ever was a time to pray for our new president and cabinet it is now. This is a rally cry for God’s people to proclaim his truth, his love, and his ways. Those in governmental ministry must be prayed for that as the apostle Paul said “that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel- Ephesians 6:19. In a society that is ever increasingly without absolutes, lose of morality and respect for human life, pluralistic, and anti-God; the need for Christians to earnestly continue for the faith is never greater. Souls for all eternity is at stake.

Pastor Fisher was also the Valedictorian of the 2008 Graduating class. Approximately 100 people where in attendance. Dr. Austin Waters of The House of Prayer for All People in Millington, Md. delivered the keynote address to the Graduating class.
Pastor Dwayne Waters received his Masters Degree in Theology.
In a time when there is gross ignorance in the house of God and false teachers on the rise, the need for trained leaders and laity could never be greater. There is an even greater need for those in the five-fold ministry to first be prepared, and then to equip God’s people for the work of Ministry (Eph.4:11-16).
When explaining Hebrews 8:10 the Puritan commentator William Gouge (1575-1653) said,
Ministers are herein to imitate God, and, to their best endeavor, to instruct people in the mysteries of godliness, and to teach them what to believe and practice, and then to stir them up in act and deed, to do what they are instructed to do. Their labour otherwise is likely to be in vain. Neglect of this course is a main cause that men fall into as many errors as they do in these days.
In the Fall 2008/2009 class at the Chestertown site of The National School of Theology, Pastor Ronald T. Fisher will be placed as the instructor under the guidance of the school Dean Dr. Orlando Shorts.
Pastor Fisher has shown a never ending appetite to be taught by others and then pass on to faithful men that which has been imparted to him whether by the logos word or rhema word.
Congratulations to everyone and may you continue your pursuit of making your calling and election sure.
